Vacy Hall is steeped in history and is probably uniqie as a guesthouse. The rooms are very large and decor is in keeping with the historic grandness of the place.

We found the ambience totally in keeping with the grounds. The rooms, especially, Fire Place suites were ideal. Great location and handy to amenities, restaurants, etc..
It was quite humid, but a fan was provided. Should advise overseas visitors not familiar at that time of year ...

Classic style of the house
The whole house was very damp including the robes and linen. Salt in the shaker so damp it would not come out. Poor security on the windows

It was a lovely setting and sitting by the fire in the communal lounge was lovely.
Far to noisy for a quiet peaceful stay. My room was near the kitchen and if not a early riser you became one.

The old world charm & not cold like a motel. And we saw no signs of it being haunted as we were told.
Loved it!

Beautiful house and room, incredibly comfy bed and great nights stay - wish i was there for longer. Lovely garden and verandah to enjoy breakfast al fresco
had to walk across the hallway to the bathroom which was annoying in the middle of the night for a wee!

The atmosphere and authentic decoration of the house create a haven for relaxation and enjoyment. The staff were welcoming and gracious, recommending a selection of restaurants and cafes to suit most guests. The close proximity to the centre of town made it convenient. An outstanding guesthouse which we highly recommend.
No disappointing aspects at all.
